The North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission – or NCSC for short – is a non-profit organisation made up of over 400 sweetpotato growers, producers, packers, processors and business associates in the state of North Carolina.
The NCSPC aims to increase awareness and consumption of sweetpotatoes from North Carolina through recipe development, social media, and education.
Liquid has been appointed as the European integrated agency for the promotion of sweet potatoes, on behalf of the North Carolina SweetPotato Commission (NCSPC), a non-profit organisation made up of over 400 growers, producers, packers, processors and business associates from the US state of North Carolina.
Approach
As well as integrated marketing, we are responsible for managing trade activity across the UK, France and Germany. Our remit includes developing and maintaining relationships with US Embassies across Europe, engaging retailers, wholesalers and importers, meeting with industry leaders and representing NCSPC at key consumer and trade shows and events across all three markets.
Recent activity has included attending the Deutscher Obst & Gemüse Kongress (DOGK) in Dusseldorf on behalf of the commission, organising meetings with importers in Paris and Hamburg and attending briefings at the US Embassy in London.
With clear objectives to support in increasing sweet potato shipment imports into Europe, we are also working towards hosting buyer trips to North Carolina for key retailers, with one set to take place at the end of October 2023.
