Rossborough case study

Community engagement for Rossborough.

When leading insurance broker Rossborough relocated in Jersey, it needed to signpost the move to local people and minimise disruption to the business.

The brief

With monthly footfall in excess of 1,200 customers and no exterior signage on the new building, it was critical to develop a campaign flagging up clear directions. We were also asked to develop an internal communications strategy, including internal signage and messaging to communicate the brand values and rugby links of Rossborough's global parent company Gallagher.

What we did

Our strategy and tactical campaign involved multiple channels of communication. Against a tight timeframe, we developed a message matrix to keep communication clear and simple. Tactics included campaign planning, drafting all written communications, media relations, design, management of suppliers and securing signage on the construction hoardings surrounding the building. On opening day, rugby star Hugh Vyvyn visited the office to speak to schoolchildren about motivation and show them the Gallagher Premier League trophy.

The result

We secured significant interest in the move with more than 1,300 islanders attending the office to enter the launch competition. There was strong attendance at the evening launch event, 500,000 views of the digital campaign over eight weeks and great client feedback. We secured media coverage in both the business and sport sections of the Jersey Evening Post.
