The brief
The North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission – or NCSC for short – is a non-profit organisation made up of over 300 sweetpotato growers, producers, packers, processors and business associates in the state of North Carolina.
The NCSPC aims to increase awareness and consumption of sweetpotatoes from North Carolina through a combination of trade and consumer marketing activity.
Our approach
Liquid has been working with NCSC since 2022 providing integrated marketing activity across the UK, France, and Germany. Our core objective is to support in increasing sweetpotato imports into Europe, with our remit including:
- Recipe development.
- Social media activity including paid social and influencer partnerships.
- Press activity including both consumer and trade.
- Digital activity including PPC and Google ads.
- Trade relationships with retailers, wholesalers and importers.
- Education partnerships with culinary institutions.
- Trade show activations.
Recent activity has included attendance at Anuga in Cologne, the world’s largest trade fair for the food and beverage industry, and Fruit Logistica in Berlin, the world’s leading trade fair for fresh produce business, targeting key trade audiences. Previous activations have included a UK influencer event, Atelier event in France inviting journalists and influencers, and even a trip to North Carolina, taking a mix of influencers and journalists from across Europe to experience the ‘Harvest Tour’ first hand.
The impact
This blended approach delivered strong results: three markets actively managed. From June 2025 – July 2026 Liquid delivered 37 pieces of coverage, 3.9 million social impressions, 57.7k social engagements and 100k website visits.
