Lis founded Liquid in a room above her mother's garage. She helped shape Britain's communications landscape through her involvement in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, of which she was national president in 2008 and is recognised as one of the UK's top 100 PR practitioners. She served as chairman of the PRCA PR Council 2011-2012 and is on the board of the PRCA. She is a governor of Bloxham School and chairs its communications and development committee. Lis has been a reviewer of regional communications for the Cabinet Office and is a mentor for the Government Communications Service. Lis advises on crisis management at board level and provides consultancy across a range of sectors, including education and food.

Owen is a Business Management student studying at the University of Liverpool, currently undertaking his year in industry at Liquid. After previous work experience, he continued his interest in public relations while managing media accounts and communications for a society and studying related modules at university. He hopes his interests in sport, media and current affairs will be useful while engaging with clients across the business.
