Liquid CEO among Women In PR’s 40 over 40 Power List

Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, CEO of Liquid, an integrated communications consultancy based in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District, has been officially named to Women in PR’s prestigious 40 Over 40 Power List for 2025.
The list celebrates 40 outstanding women from across the PR industry, spanning in-house roles, agency positions, and female-founded firms. The list is a tribute to the career and contributions to making the PR and Comms industry more inclusive for senior female talent.
While women make up 67% of the PR & communications industry, senior levels tend to be more male dominated. Only a third of boardroom positions are taken by women.
Elisabeth’s career defies convention. She founded Liquid in 2004 from her mother’s garage, and today it has grown into a global, award-winning integrated communications agency operating across 26 jurisdictions and 19 time zones. Headquartered in Birmingham, Liquid first expanded overseas in 2011 to the Channel Islands, opening offices in both Jersey and Guernsey. Since 2023, the agency has further extended its international footprint with two Australian offices in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Over the years Elisabeth has cemented her position as a recognised leader in her industry. She was the first person from the Midlands to serve as CIPR President in 2008 and later chaired the PRCA Council in 2011/12. Her legacy includes introducing Chartered Practitioner status to the PR profession and pioneering the first PR awards held outside London.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Elisabeth demonstrated her commitment to youth development by providing virtual work experience to 240 students, helping them build valuable credentials for UCAS applications and CVs.
In 2025 alone, Elisabeth has spoken at high profile events such as the Department for Trade & Business’s ‘Empowering Women in Global Trade’ and actively supports initiatives like the Female Entrepreneurs Network and the Women’s President’s Organisation. She also hosted the 5th Global Alliance World Public Relations Conference & Festival in London, reinforcing her role as a champion for women and ethical leadership in global communications.
Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, CEO at Liquid, says: “It’s an honour to be recognised alongside such inspiring female leaders. Women make up over half of the PR industry, yet we’re still underrepresented in boardrooms. That’s a missed opportunity, as many senior women bring confidence, charisma, and valuable insight. Experience doesn’t have an expiry date, and organisations like Women in PR play a vital role in empowering these voices and ensuring they’re heard across the industry.”
