A “colour run,” in which competitors are showered in bright paint, raises money for palliative care for children.

Proceeds from the 5km Dandara Colour Run help to fund the role of a paediatric care specialist working with Family Nursing & Home Care in Jersey. The worker develops care plans for young patients with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.

The brief

Liquid was tasked with helping to drive entries to the fun run and enhance public perceptions about the work of Family Nursing & Home Care.

What we did

We engaged with the local media about the run to encourage sign-ups. We highlighted the case of a five-year-old boy who was able to stay at home with his family thanks to the support of the charity.

The result

We secured coverage for the fun run in Jersey’s main newspaper titles, ITV Channel’s Evening News and its Good Morning Britain segment, Channel 103 and BBC Radio Jersey.

The work was underpinned by social media engagement that helped to drive entries to the event. Major media attended the fun run and liked the human interest story angles pitched by Liquid.

Nearly 1,000 people took part in the fun run and raised more than £17,000 to help palliative care for young people in Jersey.
