Approach
Liquid held two events for the official launch of Maple from Canada in Australia with a Canada Day cooking segment on 7NEWS Sunrise and a morning tea and lunch event at the Three Blue Ducks, focusing on maple syrup’s health benefits and versatility.
Social media influencer and chef Morgan Hipworth presented a Monte Cristo toasted sandwich on live television, demonstrating to an audience of 4.9 million people how maple syrup can be used in the batter of a simple, yet delicious toastie and drizzled over the top for extra flavour.
Working with nutritionist and dietitian Rebecca Gawthorne and Australian celebrity chef Darren Robertson at our two events, the industry professionals explained to invited influencers and health and foodie media the benefits of pure maple syrup. Darren guided the guests through a kingfish crudo entree while critically acclaimed chef David Colcombe educated influencers and media on the four types of maple syrup and specialty products, the story of tree to table, and the ethical tapping process.
Each influencer and journalist was served entrees and mains featuring pure maple syrup, with all guests gaining a wealth of knowledge and a maple sample box to use in their own sweet and savoury dishes.
