Liquid shortlisted for PRCA Workplace Champions Award
Liquid has been shortlisted for the Public Relations and Communications Association Workplace Champions Award, which celebrates “the leading places to work, live, and thrive in the PR industry.”
As one of four finalists in the Medium Agency category, we’re proud that our approach to creating a supportive, collaborative working environment has been recognised by the PRCA.
We believe the key to creating a happy workplace is valuing our team, creating opportunities for growth and maintaining positive client relationships.
The finalists were chosen based on their commitment to four key areas:
1. Staff welfare
We invest in our people with training and development opportunities. Each team member has a tailored CPD plan that is tracked and review monthly, and we have supported sabbaticals to help our people develop their skills outside of their usual role.
Mental and physical welfare is part of Liquid’s culture. Our new Birmingham office is designed to feel like a home from home, with a team theatre, bean bags, an allotment area and our professional kitchen, which offers a perfect space for enjoying lunch together.
2. Account management
We carefully match our team members’ personalities and skillsets to each client, giving our people the opportunity to work on accounts they are interested in, and creating better results for our clients. Our team members also have the opportunity to support pro bono accounts, including Les Bourgs Hospice, the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust and Whitley Fund for Nature.
3. Recruitment and retention
Building our team is a top priority, so we work hard to recruit the very best people and give them a great environment in which to thrive. Our work placements, internships and two-year Source graduate scheme are salaried positions, creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds – not just those who can afford to work free of charge.
4. Business practices
We treat each other, our work and our clients with respect. This is one of our key values, so our two-week induction process includes an introduction to the PRCA Code of Conduct and ethics sessions. We source local ingredients from sustainable farms for our food division, we have a bike-to-work scheme and actively encourage the use of public transport.
The winners of the PRCA Workplace Champions awards will be announced on 31 March. Wish us luck!
