Looking back at Liquid in lockdown
On 17th March 2020, the Liquid team packed up our desks, said goodbye to the office and headed home for what we thought would be a month or so of working remotely. 12 months later to the day, we’re looking back at some of our highlights from a year that we’ll never forget.
Our year in numbers
- 15 new members of the team recruited since March 2020
- 1,250 hours of training provided for our team
- £72,500 worth of financial and in-kind support to charities
- 11 new Liquid pets joined the family
- Two members of the team got engaged to their partners
- Eight house moves completed (and three in progress)
- 23 new clients won
- Ten promotions made in recognition of great work

Maple from Canada’s Online Food Festival
When lockdown ruined our plans for a physical cookbook launch…
… we moved the party online with our very first Maple from Canada online food festival!
Liquid’s virtual work experience
Our PR, social and digital teams delivered online work experience for more than 140 students…
…giving valuable work experience to young people who have missed out on placements due to the pandemic.
30 Under 30
Hollie Jones made PRWeek’s 30 under 30 list…
…and has since been promoted from senior account manager to account director.
A Charity Cook-a-long
We worked with Birmingham City Council to deliver an online charity cook-a-long with Glynn Purnell…
…raising money for Change into Action, an organisation that supports rough sleepers.
Staying positive through lockdown
We’ve battled the lockdown blues with weekly yoga sessions on Zoom…
…along with regular buddy calls and virtual socials to get the whole team together.
Supporting Whitley Fund for Nature
We helped Whitley Fund for Nature take their annual awards ceremony online…
…and helped to raise awareness of endangered species with the ‘Reverse the Fade’ social media campaign.
Liquid book club launched
The bookworms in the team formed the Liquid Book Club…
…with regular get-togethers to discuss the book of the month – a great way to stay connected while we’re apart.
