Elisabeth Lewis-Jones. Chief executive officer

Lis founded Liquid in a room above her mother's garage. She helped shape Britain's communications landscape through her involvement in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, of which she was national president in 2008 and is often recognised as one of the UK's top 100 PR practitioners. She served as chairman of the PRCA PR Council 2011/2012 and is on the board of the PRCA. She is a trustee of the CIPR Benevolent Fund, a trustee of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and a Governor of Bloxham School. Lis has been a reviewer of regional communications for the Cabinet Office and today is a mentor for the Government Communications Service. Lis advises on crisis management at board level and provides consultancy across a range of sectors, including education and food.

Lisa Downes. PR director, Jersey

Lisa was recognised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations as Britain's Outstanding Young Communicator at the national CIPR Excellence Awards in 2012. She is a highly qualified PR practitioner, combining a robust knowledge base with extensive practical experience. She was named Young Communicator of the year at the Wessex & Channel Islands PRide Awards in 2011. Lisa delivers high standards of service, through her conviction that established clients should be treated with the same enthusiasm and dedication as new clients.

Ben Carrett. Finance director

As finance director and company secretary, Ben is responsible for the financial management and profitability of the company, and works across three tax jurisdictions. Prior to this Ben was office manager and oversaw the finance, processes and procedures. Before joining Liquid, he was executive assistant to the director general and board at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Ben is an avid photographer and member of the Royal Photographic Society.

David Colcombe. Consultant Chef director

David is a member of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and the British Culinary Federation, as well as an Honorary Fellow and visiting professor at University College Birmingham. Having previously cooked for G8 leaders, he joined the Liquid team after running a successful 2 AA restaurant for 10 years, which he grew to include a café bistro and a bar. The British Culinary Federation awarded the prestigious Louis Copolla Award to David in May 2015, for ‘the greatest contribution to the profession’.

Jon Perks. Account director

Jon looks after many of Liquid’s key UK accounts and heads the food and drink division, Liquid Lunch. He entered public relations after an extensive career in journalism at Trinity Mirror. Specialising in magazines and special publications, he worked with a broad range of clients including KPMG, Aston Villa FC and UB40, and prides himself on attention to detail and great creative idea generation.

Richard is a respected food, restaurant and travel writer. A career journalist, Richard, a former assistant editor of the Birmingham Post, is a content management and copyrighting specialist. He has strong relationships with influential figures in the hospitality industry, food education sector and business community and is trusted for his editorial judgment and creativity.
A former winner of the Guild of Food Writers' Michael Smith Award for Work on British Food, Richard writes for national publications and has appeared as a restaurant expert on the BBC.

William brings with him journalistic experience at a regional and national level having been news editor at MSN UK News, six years as a lobby journalist in UK Parliament and political and transport correspondent at the Yorkshire Post. Adrian Wheeler. Non-executive director

Adrian is the former CEO of GCI UK and chairman of GCI Europe. He has served as chairman of the Public Relations Consultants Association and as chairman of the Professional Practices Committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. In 2010 he received the Sir Stephen Tallents Medal for services to the public relations industry. He is the author of ‘Purchasing Public Relations’ for the PRCA and editor of ‘Best Business Ideas’. His specialities are media relations, crisis communications, advertising, media training and the management of public relations programmes across multiple markets.
