REBRANDING MERCURY DISTRIBUTION
Liquid helped Mercury Distribution to rebrand and to introduce visual consistency across the various companies within the Mercury group.
We designed a new logo for the parent company and a suite of sub-brands for the companies within the group. We also developed a new identity for Mercury Deliver, an online supermarket offering home delivery of everyday essentials.
Mercury Deliver presented a challenge because the nature of its business was quite different from the companies within the group. The identity needed to communicate and strong retail message but still sit comfortably with the other group identities.
The existing logo featured an illustration of Mercury; the Roman god of commerce and trade, wearing his winged helmet. We stylised one of the wings from the helmet to create an icon that is modern but has a link to the old identity.
