Jersey based charity, Family Nursing & Home Care (FNHC), is the leading provider of community nursing and care services in the island. In 2014, Liquid was appointed to help raise the profile of the charity and to support the newly appointed fundraising manager. Throughout the five years before Liquid’s appointment, the charity had undertaken very little PR and profile raising activity.

Liquid identified a toolbox of core objectives including:

-    To raise the profile of and understanding of the services provided by FNHC amongst the adult population of Jersey
-    To increase FNHC’s income from unsolicited sources
-    To differentiate FNHC from competitors
-    To update the charity’s image to reflect the FNHC’s modern, forward thinking approach

To satisfy the objectives, Liquid developed a communications strategy which encompassed a hard-working, ongoing, media relations campaign, a rebrand and a website redesign, the updating of all collateral and the organisation and delivery of a high profile public debate. The debate attracted more than 200 attendees and focused on the critical topic of who will deliver care to elderly islanders in the future, how this will be funded and how to keep the quality of this care high – a series of issues, which affect not just Jersey, but jurisdictions across the world. The event was an enormous success, with many politicians, including Jersey’s Health Minister, and key influencers and decision makers in attendance.
To date, Liquid is satisfied that it is successfully working towards the achievement of the core objectives and continues to provide strategic consultation as well as tactical support to the charity. The media relations campaign has gained traction and the charity is often approached by the media to comment on relevant topics.
