A new face for Contact magazine
In 2010, we were commissioned to redesign and refresh the layout and content of Contact, the bi-monthly magazine published by Lighthouse Media on behalf of Guernsey's Chamber of Commerce.
We started by redrawing the grid so that advertising and editorial content sat more comfortably on the pages. Separate design styles were set for the news and features sections and a uniform colour palette applied. The cover and masthead were reworked and new templates and style sheets drawn up for all sections of the magazine.
With the design work underway we focused on editorial content and worked with the publisher to improve and enhance the standard of news and feature material. Liquid published the first four issues of the redesigned Contact before passing the page templates to Lighthouse who continue to publish the magazine in-house.
